Under DLT guidelines, businesses must register their corporate entity, sender IDs (headers), and SMS content templates on a certified telecom ledger before sending messages.

The DEV SEC IT DLT Approved SMS API offers a robust gateway that integrates directly with these blockchain ledgers. When you make an API request, our system validates the entity ID, sender ID, and content template against the DLT database in real time. If the payload matches, the message is routed through high-priority telecom channels. This ensures maximum delivery rates and low latency for critical notifications, such as OTPs.

To prevent messaging disruptions, it is important to understand the components of DLT registration:

Key DLT Requirements:

  • Principal Entity (PE) Registration: Every business must register their entity on a DLT portal (e.g., Jio, Airtel, Videocon) to receive a unique 19-digit Principal Entity ID.
  • Header/Sender ID Binding: Your 6-character sender ID (e.g., `DSITPL`) must be registered under your Entity ID. Transactional headers must be alphabetic, while promotional headers must be numeric.
  • Content Template Registration: Every message draft must be registered and approved. Variable parameters must be marked with `{#var#}` tags (e.g., `Your OTP is {#var#}`).
  • Scrubbing Process: Telecom carriers automatically scrub SMS traffic. Any message that does not match an approved template is instantly blocked.

How many characters are allowed in a single SMS unit?
